1. On May 15th,Guangzhou Hedy Computer Company offered to Indian Ocean Import Company as follows :Hedy computers, $U.S.380 per dozen, CIF India for shipment during June. Payment shall be made by confirmed and Irrevocable L/C at sight. This offer is firm and subject to a reply from the Indian company within 7days. On May 23rd, Hedy Computer Company received an order from Indian Ocean Import Company for 1800 units, but it required that the date of shipment be put off until July. Because of the increasing value of the computers in international market, the Guangzhou Hedy Computer Company refused to accept this order.
Questions:
(1) Is Guangzhou Hedy Computer Company entitled to refuse this order?
(2) Is it proper for Indian Ocean Import Company to ask for claim if his order had reached the seller within the validity of the offer?
